Tonight Jr. mentor, Marissa, is helping prep the FLL teams to get ready for their state competition this weekend! She..... well I'm, excited for this! I can't wait! I will surly post on twitter though out the whole thing. For updates on the competition follow my twitter :) (@marissa82577505 ) Good luck to all the other teams going to Casper WY for the WY State FLL Competition!!!!!! check out the website http://robotic-tornados.weebly.com/ to see there innovative solution! Thank-you so much for attending our Halloween dance, the fundraiser was very successful and we also received many canned goods to donate. So.......
We will be having a Fundraiser at the Spooners in Cheyenne this Saturday the 10th. From 2pm to 10pm we will be getting 15% of the profit they make that evening. Hope to see you there!
Yay, we've got people interested. The dance will be on the 30th and the price will be $3 per person and $5 per couple. The theme is Halloween/Glow in the Dark. This will only be fun if we get a whole bunch of people interested otherwise it'll be boring. So join us because there will also be food and drinks. (Snacks are awesome.) Plus it will be going from 7-10 pm so that anyone can come. Invite friends, enemies, the hobo on the street corner (only if they're a cool hobo), and family. Make sure to tell us if you're interested in coming below. Hope to see you all there!! We are a team. We do the work to find solutions with guidance from our coaches and mentors. We know our coaches and mentors don't have all the answers; we learn together. We honor the spirit of friendly competition. What we discover is more important than what we win. We share our experiences with others. We display Gracious Professionalism® and Coopertition® in everything we do. We have FUN! So if I were asked what our robotics team is all about, I would have to say that our team is about having fun in a technologically advanced way while learning skills that will help us get ahead in life. To me that is what FIRST is really about.
This year the burns FLL teams are doing the FLL completion Trash Trek! This week we are researching waste! Which isn't so not exciting until you think about how big of a problem it really is. The game designers did a very good job of incorporating the Trash Trek idea into the game field. I am excited to see what problems our teams decide to tackle!
So, basically we're just getting the push-bot finished today and getting a game plan to keep us focused. I'm kinda excited for this year because it looks like a lot of fun. We're hoping to see if we can only aim for a few of the points and still get some major scores. I think it's just mostly because we don't want to take on too much before we even have the major parts built. But nonetheless we will have a great time through all of the challenges.
Can't wait to start working on this years robot! It looks like it is going to be challenging this year. there is, again, a pull-up bar. Maybe we can come up with a way to tackle that challenge finally. Alonns-Y! Radioactive Imagination to the Res-Q! Also, sign up to get reminders from out team text @bhsgirlftc to 81010 to sign up!
Marmar wishes you good luck with this week :) |
